This is an introductory chapter for The Creatures Beyond, a work-in-progress, adult short story collection featuring pairings of monsters and/or humans all sharing a common world. This steamy introductory chapter introduces Balthazar, a copper-colored drakonblood male, and Lydia, a human woman who crossed The Veil years prior and has remained Balthazar's loyal companion ever since. Follow their tryst as they discover each other in ways they'd only imagined...
